One of the things that I hate about Halo Wars 2 is that Microsoft left an open-ended I never finished it so there is no ending

I felt betrayed by Microsoft when they killed the Kinect 2, removed PIP and TV (I had to throw away the external Microsoft tuner, as well). It was really a multi device, and it ended up as a normal console. 😕

For me it's the friggin labeling games NEW when they're open and not sealed. Drives me insane lol.

The problem is that all used game stores I’ve ever been to check current market prices at the point of sale. It’s annoying and lazy, but I haven’t found a single store with the integrity to use a different model. At least I’ve found a good local shop that will at least price differently based on condition. I bought strider 2 for the PS1 from this shop and he had a complete version and a loose disk version and the loose disks were half the price, very nice. Still had to check market price tho lol.

I have a local game store that puts stickers on the plastic over cover art but the sticky part isn't very strong. They come off with only around a minute under a slightly damp paper towel. Game stop stickers take 10 minutes. I've never seen them put stickers on Cardboard. Anything with Cardboard packaging that's intact is usually in a case with the price displayed in front of it. I consider this a reasonable amount of sticker. It's easy to get off of anything plastic without damage and kept away from what it could damage.

I went to a Cex once where I picked up a game and went to the counter and after a few minutes they told me they didn’t have have the disc. I just stood there confused, How lazy do you have to be to not check whether the thing you were selling actually existed? It’s like buying a car and after the the dealer looks for the keys , he tells you: “We don’t actually have the keys but would you like something else?”

Stickers are a freaking dealbreaker. Stickers on covers, I immediately ask the merchant to remove them prior to selling them to me, if they can't do it in a satisfactory manner, no deal. But stickers on discs, there's a special place in hell for people who do that...

I never had any good luck with ATI....mine had a lot of compatibility issues.... but both i had...one was an older model and then a newer than his model might have just been problematic lol... would absolutely be my luck...

There (was) a real scummy retro games store here in Perth, Australia who used to sell fake games at collectors prices and would also sell dead "tested" games. My mate who runs an extremely reputable retro games store showed me several examples of those dead games people bought him that in most cases he's repaired (if possible) free of charge, mostly water damage SNES and gameboy games. Thankfully that store (and a smaller partner store) has closed down and now we only have the few stores that actually treat customers well.

It's actually far larger than it needs to be. I bet if you open that up, it's mostly empty. I bet it's running something equivalent to a pi-zero.

Recently was in GameStop for the first time in years looking for Wii U games and happened to see the prince of Persia he collection. I had to pick it up. Got it for like 18 bucks. And I see online it’s going for like 60. I know these collections are getting expensive and so far I’m enjoying it. Looking at picking up the metal gear legacy collection. Never really played them and just getting them in one big bundle seems like the way to go. All other versions are so pricey.

I get the sentiments but you sound like a nickel and dime low baller. My boy runs a shop and we get kooks like this all the time. Smh.

The controllers on the Slim die while in the box, without even touching them. Mine did and when I took it to get it repaired, they told me there's no way to fix them; it's just what happens to them. I need to buy a compatible one.

I spent thousands of dollars since 2020 on retro games and that's just mostly Gen 6 and 7! i got sick of it and decided to sell my collection, i've made bank selling it on my store and i've used some of the money to get everdrives for all my cartridge consoles and ODE's/Modded hard drives for the rest. At the end of the day i just want to play the game on real hardware on a CRT and i can do that so much more conveniently on these things, plus you get rom hacks and translations and other quality of life improvements to many games making the originals irrelevant. Plus you don't have to worry about bad CD drives dying, lasers going bad (good luck finding a PS2 console that reads all the discs and DVDs correctly these days), disc rot or corrosion on carts etc.

Selling reproduction is a bad idea. Your whole inventory becomes suspect. Especially if you don't mark/post it as reproduction.

Buying games and reading the cover to know which console it's for is not complicated. Sunset overdrive was not a launch title

The collection not being in alphabetical order is bugging me.

So I'm a Target cashier and I'm scanning all the Kpop cd's and collectors edition vinyls and boxes for Gen Z Kids, and even though I don't listen to Kpop, ngl a lot of the box art I've seen are very beautiful and elaborate, filled with posters and mementos. These kids are not buying it to listen to the music, they're buying it to pay homage and appreciate more about their favorite artist. If I were to buy physical media on the switch all I get is just the card, cover, and no manual or pamphlet. Idk how it would be translated to video games but I will say there is an amount of the younger generation who DO want to own physical media, but aside from the game itself, the box has to have something more to offer.

Playing an unbelievably expensive Neo Geo game on a crappy Dynex TV is pretty metal.

So if i buy some xbox 360 games on xbox one store app till its shut down will it delete all the Xbox 360 games on Xbox One account

One thing that I'm curious about is backwards compatibility. Could you recommend the Xbox One for playing OG Xbox or Xbox 360 games? Or is the Series X better for that?

i think any new buyers to the gamecube need to get a bank loan because alot of them have gone through the roof in price. So gotta be on the lookout for deals and decide the games you really want etc.

Is this still in beta after 3 years now? Upgrades/updates? Can this play roms with The micro sd card?

I got lucky once at a game store where they had missed a price on one of the games that they must have adjusted or when it came it was valued differently, two of the same game next to each other at different prices... i of course bought the cheaper on lol. even the girl at the register said "well this happens sometimes and its always good for the customers who find these"

Excellent video thanks for the information. One thing I have experienced a lot is game stores refusing to sell me games for the prices that they have listed on the games😈 More times then I can count I have had to ironically deal with the police because the situation has been blown out of proportion by stupid employees or managers that believe they can legally do stuff like that.

Comic book stores too.. As I was taking my wallet out at the counter, the clerk’s helper checked the prices on “Ebay” where I was then told the comic book was no longer for sale. Yes Ebay LOL. Without getting into it, I left the rest of the books there and proceeded to walked out the door, never to return again. So for a few dollars they lost a steady, loyal customer who was there nearly every Saturday spending money like a drunken sailor coming into port.

The thing that annoys me is when they buy games from you they value them all like sports titles while selling them like NWC carts. This local store that was new I brought some games in and one of them I knew was an $80 game, the guy looked at the games and offered me $15 store credit and said, "They're mostly sports titles." 2 of them were sports titles out of the 8 games I brought in and the one was $80 on sold ebay listings. I haven't been back since and I was buying games from them somewhat regularly.

worked at game stop, and we had to reprice every day. Had to do it every morning of every day. Some days it was more, some days it was less. For people saying GameStop selling opened games as new, I can't speak for other stores, but we only did this if the copy on the shelf was the last copy in the entire store. And yeah, for the other stuff I fully agree.
